Note:

Any program that commences after 1st April 2015, our fee will include 6% GST :
MAC Part I ( RM 6,890.00 ) and MAC Part II ( RM 3604.00 per module )

The MAC Part II program is a continuation of MAC Part I program that allows trainees to have hands on experience and practical competency. Trainers for this practical program are certified Aesthetic Medical Practitioner and to ensure all of the trainees get the most out of this program, they are divided into small group assigned to 1 trainer. A Certificate of Training (COT) will be awarded to the successful trainees upon completion of every module.

Upon completion of this program, trainees should be able to:
  • Demonstrate sound knowledge of the procedure(s)
  • Independently perform each procedure safely.
  • Manage procedure complication(s) appropriately.
  • To offer a structured clinical training on Aesthetic Medical procedure under supervision of a qualified trainer.
  • To teach recommended methods and techniques in performing Aesthetic Medical procedure(s).
  • To provide a comprehensive knowledge and expected outcome of a procedure, the management of possible complications, safety issues and ways to minimize adverse effects of the procedure(s).
  • To ensure trainees are competent in performing Aesthetic Medical procedure after completing the training module.
  • To complete and fill up log book for every procedure, signed and verified by their respective trainers.
  • There are 5 modules available, each module consist of 2 procedures.
  • Trainees are ONLY allowed to enroll in maximum 3 modules (6 procedures) at one time during MAC part II intake.
  • Procedures offered in any module are final and trainees are not allowed to enroll in only 1 (one) procedure (i.e half module).

  • Training module for MAC Part II is divided into 4 Sessions, known as Session I, II, III and IV.
    • Session I : 4-5 hours per module, commencement as per schedule
    • Session II : 2-3 hours per module, approx. 1 month after Session I
    • Session III : to complete within 16 months or earlier (after Session II)
    • Session IV : competency assessment (after completion of Session III)
  • Trainees should complete ALL Sessions within 18 months from the date of commencement:
  • Failure to complete all the sessions within the designated timeline without any written consent or legitimate reason may cause the trainee to re-sit the entire module.
  • Session I : 4-5 hours per module, commencement as per schedule
    • Discussion on technique, safety issue, complication, how to manage complication and other related matters concerning aesthetic medical procedures in selected module respectively.
    • Trainer shall perform live demonstration of every procedures involved in selected module respectively (minimum 3 cases / Indications/ areas) per procedure.
    • Trainee shall perform hands-on under trainer’s direct supervision of every procedures involved in selected module respectively (minimum 1 case/ Indication/ area per procedure)
    • MAC secretariat / Sub-secretariat shall prepare and provide subjects for demonstration and hands-on for each procedure.
  • Session II : 2-3 hours per module, approx. 1 month after Session I
    • Revision on technique, safety issue, complication, how to manage complication and other related matters concerning aesthetic medical procedures in selected module respectively.
    • Trainee shall perform hands-on under trainer’s direct supervision of every procedures involved in selected module respectively (minimum 2 cases/ Indications/ areas per procedure)
    • For trainees who enrolled in Module 1 and 2 (BTA, Dermal Fillers, Chemical Peel Superficial and Chemical Peel Medium) they need to purchase their own products for hands on purposes during this session. (Refer to Fee)
    • Trainees need to find their own subjects for hands-on for each procedure.
  • Session III : to complete within 16 months or earlier (after Session II)
    • Trainees shall perform all procedure independently under the guidance of their trainer based on the Modules they enrolled.
    • Trainees may contact their designated trainer for advice and guidance as deemed necessary during this session.
    • Trainees shall perform adequate number of cases as suggested for each procedure (Refer to Log Book, Table 1).
    • Trainees shall be responsible to acquire their own subjects, consumables, drugs, suitable premise, machine rental, agreements, consent forms, indemnity insurance and all other relevant matters in order to perform the procedures or alternatively.
    • Trainees can also utilize the facilities at MAC program partner clinic (refer to Partner Clinic) *standard fee applied
    • Trainees shall observed and abide all rules and regulation stipulated by the Ministry of Health and Malaysia Medical Council (MMC) concerning venue, premise license, drugs prescriptions (BPFK), Annual Practice Certificate (APC) etc.
    • At the end of Session III, Trainees shall ensure that the cases are recorded diligently in their Logbook.
    • Every Trainee should keep pre and post images of every logged case and compile them in a Compact Disc (CD)/Thumb Drive for verification by the Trainer. This is to ensure that the cases are given the right treatment and the procedure is done correctly.
    • MAC Program shall not be responsible for any fee incurred during this session (Refer to Fee)
  • Session IV : competency assessment (after completion of Session III)
    • Evaluation of competency by MAC program appointed examiner/respective trainer and shall be done at designated MAC program partner clinic.
    • Trainees shall be responsible to acquire their own patients, consumables, drugs and any other required items in order to perform their procedures during evaluation.
    • Trainees shall make their own arrangements with the designated examiner/trainer with the assistance of MAC secretariat before going for Session IV (Date, Venue and Time)
    • Logbook shall be assessed and endorsed by their Trainer. Trainee shall also include relevant documents (example: photographs, consent form, etc.) for assessment if needed.
    • Verification by MAC – The endorsed Logbook shall then be forwarded to MAC for verification.
    • Issuance of COT by MAC – Once the logbook is verified, MAC shall then issue the Certificate of Training (COT) to the Trainee.
    • MAC Program shall not be responsible for any fee incurred during this session (Refer to Fee)
  • Trainee shall only use the official Logbook as supplied by MAC secretariat.
  • Trainee shall duly complete the Logbook as per the guidelines for selected Modules.
  • Trainees shall use 1 Logbook per procedure.
  • Upon completion, Trainee shall forward the Logbook to their Trainer for endorsement. Subsequently, the Logbook shall then be forwarded to MAC secretariat for verification before receiving their COT.
  • For purpose of clarification, Procedure done per treatment area or per indication is deemed as 1 completed case for the Logbook. Example: Patient A, receiving BTA Treatment for Forehead and Crow Feet is considered as 2 completed cases for the Logbook.
  • Trainees shall execute consent form with their Patients prior to the Procedure. The following contents shall be included in the consent form:
    • The nature of the Procedure, known adverse effects, complications and risks, including allergic reactions and post Procedure effects (downtime);
    • That the Procedure is part of a training program done by the Trainee under supervision of an accredited trainer.
    • The date, time and the location of Procedure;
  • Trainees shall indemnify MAC in any or all Procedures performed either independently or under Trainer’s supervision.
  • Trainees shall protect their patient data as required under the Personal Data Protection Act.
  • Training location for Session I and Session II shall be at designated MAC Training Centre(s).
  • MAC Secretariat shall notify any change in the venue, if arises, serving sufficient notice to the Trainees.
  • For Session III, Trainees shall do the Procedures to fulfill the requirements of the Logbook at their own place of practice. Trainees shall ensure that their place of practice complies with MOH requirements (Private Healthcare Act).
  • For Session IV, Trainees shall do the Procedure for competency evaluation at their designated Trainer clinic or MAC Training center.
  • Trainees shall be allocated to a designated Trainer per module at the discretion of MAC secretariat.
  • MAC secretariat shall ensure that all appointed trainer are a qualified, Letter of Credentialing and Privileging (LCP) certified Aesthetic Medical Practitioner.
  • Trainer shall supervise and guide their respective trainees during all the session of this program.
  • Trainer shall advise their respective trainees accordingly in an event of any untoward adverse reaction or complications, particularly with respect to Session III.
  • Medical Practitioner fully registered with Malaysia Medical Council (MMC).
  • Trainees from foreign countries must show proof that they are a qualified medical practitioner by their country governing bodies.
  • Trainees applying for MAC Part II shall have duly completed and obtained MAC Part I certificate (Certificate of Completion/COC).
  • Trainees shall have a valid Medical Indemnity Insurance.
  • The fee for MAC Part II is paid individually as per module. The fee are inclusive of:
    • Provision of Trainer , venue rental, consumables and aesthetic procedure machine usage (i.e Laser, IPL, Microdermabrasion, Skin tightening devices) for session I and II (including hands on for both session)
    • BTA, Dermal Fillers and Chemical Peel products for session I only (live demonstration and trainees hands on usage)
    • Verification and endorsement by respective trainer for every log book cases.
    • Administration charges by MAC secretariat
    • Provision of Certificate of Training (COT) by MAC secretariat.
  • The fee are not inclusive of:
    • BTA, Dermal Fillers and Chemical Peel products for trainee’s hands-on usage during session II.
    • Any related cost incurred during Session III
    • Competency assessment (Session IV)
    • Logbooks for each procedures
    • Other incidental charges during this program
